اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ. فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَسْتَعِيذُ بِالْمَغْرَمِ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا غَرِمَ حَدَّثَ فَكَذَبَ، وَوَعَدَ فَأَخْلَفَ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and debt. A man said: O Messenger of Allah, how often you seek refuge from debt! He said: When a man incurs debt, he speaks, and lies, and makes promises, and breaks them.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhab il-qabr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnat id-dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnat il-mahya wal-mamat. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-mathami wal-maghram. Fa qala rajul: Ya Rasulullah, ma akthara ma tasta'idhu bil-maghram? Qala: Inna ar-rajula idha gharima haddatha fa kadhaba, wa wa'ada fa akhlafa.
