O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, from the burden of debt, and from being overcome by men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuj'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-hammi wal-hazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa dala'id-dayn, wa ghalabatir-rijal.

Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive supplication directly addresses several key areas of potential weakness and hardship: loss of blessings, declining health, unexpected punishment, and divine anger. Crucially, it also provides refuge from mental and emotional burdens (distress, sorrow), physical or spiritual inertia (incapacity, laziness), character flaws (cowardice, stinginess), financial burdens (debt), and the crushing weight of being dominated or overpowered by others – a common feeling when confronting social injustice. By seeking Allah's protection, we empower ourselves with spiritual strength and resilience.
