Dua for Relief and Protection Amidst Political Turmoil

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijali.

When to Read

Recite this dua during times of political instability, uncertainty, or when feeling overwhelmed by societal pressures. It's particularly relevant when facing situations that cause anxiety, fear, or a sense of helplessness due to external forces, including oppressive leadership or widespread unrest. Make it a habit during your daily supplications, especially after Salah, and whenever the need for Allah's protection arises.

How to Read

Raise your hands as you would in supplication, face the Qiblah if possible, and recite with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning of each phrase, truly feeling your reliance on Allah. Repeat it multiple times if you feel particularly distressed. Ensure you are in a state of Wudu if reciting after prayer.
