Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised that when one recites this dua upon leaving their home, they will be told: 'You have been guided, you have been sufficed, and you have been protected.' The Shaytan will then move away from them, saying, 'How can I get to a man whom Allah has guided, sufficed, and protected?' This statement encompasses protection from all harm, including dangers on the journey.
Source & Authentication
Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a person goes out of his house, he should say: 'In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no power and no strength except in Allah.' Then it will be said to him: 'You have been sufficed, protected and guided.' So the devil keeps away from him and the devil says to the other devil: 'What can you do to a man who has been guided, sufficed and protected?'"
