O Allah, I ask You for the doing of good deeds, and the abandoning of evil deeds, and love of the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend a trial for Your creation, then take me to Yourself without putting me through it. And I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said that a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "What things are the most excellent?" He said: "The most excellent thing is to bring joy to a believer, to satisfy his hunger, or to pay off his debt, or to relieve him of his worry, and to give him food when he is hungry, and to guide him when he is lost. And it is not permissible for a Muslim to annoy a Muslim." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, should I inform the believers of this?" He said: "Inform those whom you meet who do not ask you (about it)." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me the most excellent thing that I may say." He said: "Say: 'O Allah, I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which draw me closer to Your love.'" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, how can I obtain Your love and the love of those who love You?" He said: "O 'Abdullah, look at the people of a lower rank than you, and do not look at the people of a higher rank than you, for that is more likely to make you grateful for the blessings of Allah." And in the hadith transmitted by Ibn Numayr: "And he said: 'O Allah, I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and love of that which You love, and to love the people so that I may be loved by You, for I may die without loving them.'" And in the hadith of Abu Bakr: "Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'la khayraat, wa tarkal munkaraat, wa hubbal masaakeen, wa an taghfira li wa tarhamani, wa idha aradta fi khalqika fitnatan fa tawaffani ilayha ghayra maftoon. Wa as'aluka hubbak, wa hubba man yuhibbuk, wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik. (O Allah, I ask You for the doing of good deeds, and the abandoning of evil deeds, and love of the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend a trial for Your creation, then take me to Yourself without putting me through it. And I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.)"
