اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ.

O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, and free me from need of that which You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need to seek anything from anyone besides You.

Allahummakfini bihalalika 'an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlik 'amman siwak.

When to Read

This powerful dua is particularly beneficial when you are facing financial difficulties, burdened by debt, and striving to establish or grow a business that is entirely permissible (halal). Recite it regularly, especially after your obligatory prayers, and at times when you are seeking Allah's guidance and provision for your business endeavors. It's a plea for divine sufficiency that can shift your perspective and attract lawful means of sustenance.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincere conviction and a firm intention to earn through halal means. Maintain a state of purity (wudu), face the Qiblah if possible, and raise your hands in supplication. Believe in Allah's ability to provide for you in ways you cannot imagine. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also advised that when asking Allah, we should do so with certainty that He will respond. Persistence is key; make this a regular part of your supplications.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua encompasses seeking protection from unlawful earnings and requesting lawful provision, which is crucial for those in business. By asking Allah to suffice us with His halal provisions, we guard ourselves against the temptations of illicit gains that can lead to spiritual and worldly ruin. The second part, 'enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need to seek anything from anyone besides You,' fosters contentment and reliance solely on Allah. This can alleviate the stress associated with debt and the pressure to borrow from questionable sources, paving the way for peace of mind and sustainable, blessed income from your business.

Source & Authentication

Narrated by Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): A Makatib (a slave who had agreed to pay for his freedom) came to him and said: 'I am unable to pay my manumission money, so help me.' He said: 'Shall I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught you, that if you had the equivalent of Mount Sarir in debt, Allah would pay it off for you?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Say: "Allahumma kfini bihalalika 'an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlik 'amman siwak." (O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, and free me from need of that which You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need to seek anything from anyone besides You).' — Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3563
