Narrated Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): A slave of mine came to him (the Prophet ﷺ) and said: 'My master wants to arrange my manumission by paying a fixed sum of money. So help me (to pay it).' He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: 'Shall I tell you some words that you may say, and if you have the equivalent of a mountain of debt, Allah will pay it off for you?' He said: 'Yes, please do.' He (the Prophet ﷺ) said: 'Say: O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, so that I may not need what You have made unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, so that I may not need from anyone other than You.'
