O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the subjugation of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabad-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.

Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua, taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, directly addresses the burdens of debt ('ghalabad-dayn') and the distress that comes with it. By seeking refuge in Allah from debt and the oppressive nature of being controlled by others due to financial hardship ('qahrir-rijal'), we are asking for His protection and a way out. The Prophet ﷺ himself used to recite this dua regularly, indicating its immense importance and effectiveness in seeking Allah's intervention for relief and ease.
