O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the subjugation of men.

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: The Prophet (๏ทบ) entered the mosque and saw a man from the Ansar called Abu Umamah. He asked, 'What is the matter with you?' Abu Umamah replied, 'O Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ)! I am in trouble because of debt and the burden of people's talk.' The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, 'Shall I teach you a prayer which, if you say it, Allah will remove your worries and pay your debts?' He said, 'Yes.' The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, 'Say in the morning and in the evening: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahri ar-rijali.' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the subjugation of men.)
