O Allah, I seek refuge in You from distress and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overpowering of debt and the subjugation of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijali.

Virtues & Benefits
This powerful supplication, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, offers multifaceted protection. By seeking refuge in Allah from debt and the subjugation of men, we are asking for His intervention to remove the burden of debt and the associated shame or hardship. It also addresses the underlying spiritual and psychological states that can hinder our efforts to overcome financial difficulties, such as distress, sorrow, incapacity, laziness, cowardice, and stinginess. Reciting this can bring peace of mind, courage, and a renewed sense of reliance on Allah for solutions.
