اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and accepted deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

It can be recited daily, perhaps after Fajr or during a quiet moment in your workday.

How to Read

Raise your hands in supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible, and utter this dua with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning of each phrase: asking for knowledge that benefits you and others, provision that is pure and lawful, and deeds that are accepted by Allah. Remember that dua is a conversation with your Creator; be present and heartfelt.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua addresses three critical elements for sustained success and contentment, both worldly and in theHereafter. Beneficial knowledge guides your decisions and helps you avoid pitfalls. Goodly provision ensures your business thrives within Allah's blessings and is earned ethically. Most importantly, asking for accepted deeds means that your efforts, including those in your business, are aligned with Allah's pleasure and will be rewarded. This helps maintain a spiritual connection and drive, preventing the focus from becoming solely material gain.

‘Amr bin Al-‘As reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: ‘Ammar bin Al-‘As said: "The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, when he embraced Islam, came to me and said: ‘O ‘Amr! What is the matter with you that I see you’re in such a state as if you are suffering from a paralysis?’ I replied: ‘What is the matter with me, O Messenger of Allah? It is because I have seen that Allah has placed so much good in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I wish to achieve all of it. But I did not know what was hidden for me.’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Choose the best and keep to the right path. I came to you and you are one of those who used to hate me. You are one of those who used to love me. And I have been told that you have asked Allah for what is with Him.’ I said: ‘Yes, I have asked Allah for three things. I have asked Him for a better status in Islam and to be accepted by Him.’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘O ‘Ammar! You have asked for a rightly guided ear, a tongue that speaks truth, and a heart that is sound. I have asked Allah for beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and acceptable deeds.’
