Maintain a state of wudu if possible, and face the Qiblah. After reciting, take action to network and build connections, trusting in Allah's plan.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, encompasses key elements for success in this life and the next. Beneficial knowledge guides us to make wise decisions in our professional lives, avoiding pitfalls and identifying opportunities. Goodly provision (rizqan tayyiban) ensures that our earnings are lawful and blessed, bringing ease and contentment. Acceptable deeds (amal mutaqabbal) mean that our efforts, including our networking and professional contributions, are recognized and rewarded by Allah, leading to both worldly and hereafter success. By seeking these three things, we align our professional aspirations with Islamic principles, ensuring our interactions and endeavors are pleasing to our Creator.

Source & Authentication

Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Du'a most frequently recited by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was: 'O Allah, O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.' I asked him: 'O Messenger of Allah, what makes you so concerned about the hearts?' He replied: 'No person has a heart but it is between two fingers of the Fingers of the Most Merciful, and He turns it (to any direction) as He wills.' (Sahih Muslim 7:72, narrated by Umm Salamah). *Note: The initial dua provided is a separate, well-established supplication for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.* The specific dua for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds is widely narrated and recommended for seeking blessings in endeavors. For example, it's found in Sunan Ibn Majah 925, classified as Sahih by Al-Albani.
