When to Read

This dua is specifically for situations where you are facing a challenging or hostile client or customer, and you feel overwhelmed or concerned about their intentions or demands. Recite it before engaging with them, or when you are feeling the pressure of their difficult behavior.

How to Read

Recite this sincerely, with firm belief in Allah's power to protect and assist you. Place your trust in Him and ask Him to handle the situation on your behalf. It's a plea for divine intervention when human efforts alone feel insufficient. You can repeat it as needed, especially when the difficulty arises.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his companion Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) when facing a formidable enemy, is a direct appeal to Allah for protection and sufficiency. It signifies complete reliance on Allah to handle matters that are beyond our capacity. By reciting this, we acknowledge that Allah is our ultimate protector and provider, and He can turn any situation in our favor, even against difficult individuals.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If anyone says in the morning 'Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim' (In the name of Allah, the one whose name is not harmed by anything on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing), he will not be afflicted by any affliction until the morning comes. And if anyone says it in the morning three times, he will not be afflicted by anything until the evening comes. And Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) started to say this dua, and then Musa (a narrator) started to say it and Abu Bakr benefited from it. And Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas narrated that he was with the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he said: 'O Allah, suffice me against them with whatever You wish.' (Allahumma-kfinihim bima shi't).
