اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ
O Allah, bless us in it and feed us with something better than it.
Allahumma barik lana feehi wa at'imna khayran minhu

How to Read
This dua is straightforward and meant to be said with sincerity. Recite it with awareness of the food before you and the immense blessing it represents. It’s often said quietly to oneself, or perhaps aloud if you are with others who will join in. The key is the intention and the feeling of gratitude.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this dua before eating not only fulfills a beautiful Sunnah but also fosters a deep sense of gratitude. It reminds us that every bite of food is a provision from Allah (SWT), and seeking His blessing ensures that the food nourishes us both physically and spiritually. It prevents us from taking our blessings for granted and cultivates humility. This practice aligns us with the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ way of living, where every action, even eating, was an act of worship and remembrance.
