This dua is a profound expression of gratitude and humility. It reminds us that all blessings, including food and clothing, are from Allah alone and are not attained through our own might. The narration states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would say this dua after removing his tablecloth (after eating): Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ate or wore a garment, he would say: 'Praise be to Allah Who clothed me with this and provided it for me, without any strength or power from myself.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 4026)
