Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited the house of Thabit ibn Qays (may Allah be pleased with him). He was with him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Thabit, come to us for your food.' Thabit went and brought out for him some bread and vinegar. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'This is good.' Anas said: 'I saw him pick up the broth and eat from the convexity of the dish.' Then the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Eat, O people of the house, for indeed Allah will not make the provision of those who were fed, or who gave food, as a provision for them, but Allah will give them provision like it.' And the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allahumma at'im man at'amani, wasqi man saqani' (O Allah, feed those who fed me, and give drink to those who gave me drink).
