O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or that You have taught to anyone from Your creation, or that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my anxiety.
Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya huku'muka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabi'ka, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a comprehensive petition. It acknowledges Allah's total control ('nasitati biyadika') and His perfect justice (''adlun fiyya qada'uka'). By asking Allah to make the Qur'an the 'springtime of the heart,' it means the Qur'an will bring life, growth, and joy to your soul, pushing away the dryness of worry. It's the light that illuminates the darkness of your chest, removing sadness and anxiety. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself would use this dua extensively when he felt distressed.
Source & Authentication
Ahmad narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'There is no servant who is afflicted with distress or grief, and he says: Allahumma inni 'abduka, ibnu 'abdika, ibnu amatik, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya huku'muka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabi'ka, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi - except that Allah will remove his distress and grief, and replace it with joy.' It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn these words?' He said: 'Yes, it is fitting for whoever hears them to learn them.'
