O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demolition of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the sudden vengeance of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika min al-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika min al-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach them, when one of them asked for something with a wish, to say: 'Allahumma inni as'alukal-khayra kullahu, 'ajillahu wa ajillahu, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma lam a'lam. Wa a'udhu bika minash-sharri kullihi, 'ajillahu wa ajillahu, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma lam a'lam. Allahumma inni as'alukal-jannah wa ma qarrab ilayha min qawlin aw 'amalin, wa a'udhu bika minan-nari wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw 'amalin. Wa as'aluk an taj'ala kulla qada'in qadaytahu li khayran. (O Allah, I ask You for all good, that which is hastened and that which is delayed, that which I know and that which I do not know. And I seek refuge in You from all evil, that which is hastened and that which is delayed, that which I know and that which I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and that which brings one closer to it of speech or action. And I seek refuge in You from the Fire and that which brings one closer to it of speech or action. And I ask You to make every decree that You decree for me good.)' And he commanded them with those supplications. And it was narrated from him that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'None of you should say: O Allah, forgive me if You wish, O Allah, have mercy on me if You wish. He should ask for all his needs with determination, for there is no one to compel Him, the Mighty and the Great.' And it was narrated from him that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika min al-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika min al-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demolition of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the sudden vengeance of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.)
