O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the overwhelming of debt and the overpowering of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijali.

Recite it frequently when you feel the weight of these worries pressing down on you, especially in the morning and evening, or whenever a wave of distress washes over you.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere conviction and a sincere heart. Raise your hands as you do so, embodying the reliance on Allah. Understand that 'qahrir-rijal' (overpowering of men) can encompass being unjustly treated, suppressed, or dominated by others, which is highly relevant to legal disputes. Repeating it consistently, especially after Salah, reinforces your plea for Allah's protection and intervention.
Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua seeks refuge from several significant afflictions that can plague a person. Seeking protection from 'al-hamm' (worry/agitation) and 'al-hazan' (sorrow) directly addresses the emotional turmoil of legal battles. The plea against 'al-'ajz' (inability) and 'al-kasal' (laziness) helps in finding the strength and motivation to navigate the legal process. Seeking refuge from 'al-jubn' (cowardice) and 'al-bukhl' (miserliness) bolsters one's courage and willingness to stand for truth, even if it involves expenditure. Most critically, 'min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal' directly covers the fear of being overwhelmed by debt (often incurred through legal fees) and being unjustly subdued or overcome by the legal system and the people within it. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself recited this dua frequently, indicating its immense importance.
