اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, and I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the overpowering of men.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabad-daini wa qahrir-rijali.

How to Read
Recite with sincerity and conviction, understanding the profound meaning of each phrase. Raise your hands slightly if possible, as a sign of supplication. Believe that Allah alone can grant you the strength and confidence you seek, and that His refuge is the ultimate protection. It's best to recite this dua in Arabic, but if pronunciation is a barrier, focus on understanding the meaning and making the heartfelt plea to Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua addresses many internal struggles that contribute to the fear of being seen as weak or incompetent. By seeking refuge in Allah from worry, grief, helplessness, and laziness, we acknowledge that these states can paralyze us and hinder our potential. The fear of being overpowered by others ('qahrir-rijal') is directly related to feeling insecure about our standing or capabilities. This dua helps us transfer our reliance from our own limited strength to the infinite power and support of Allah, fostering true confidence that comes from knowing we are under His care.
