When to Read

This powerful dua is perfect for reciting just before you have to speak in front of an audience, give a presentation, perform on stage, or face any situation where you feel overwhelmed by the presence of others or the pressure to perform. Say it when you feel your heart pounding and your mind racing with anxious thoughts about the interaction.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning: acknowledging Allah's power over all situations and people, and seeking His direct protection. Take a deep breath, picture the situation you're about to face, and then invoke Allah's help. You can say it silently to yourself or whisper it just before you step forward.

Virtues & Benefits

This supplication embodies a deep reliance on Allah (Tawakkul). By asking Allah to be 'before them' and seeking refuge from their 'evils', we are essentially acknowledging that no person or situation can harm us except by Allah's decree. It instills a sense of calm by shifting our focus from the perceived threat of the crowd or the performance to the ultimate power and protection of our Creator. This can significantly reduce anxiety and build confidence.
