O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your Hand. Your command over me is forever executed. Your decision concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have called Yourself, that You have taught to anyone in Your creation, that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the remover of my anxiety.
Allahumma inni 'abduk, ibnu 'abdik, ibnu amatik, nasiyatii biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qadaa'uka, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, aw anzaltahu fi kitabika, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilm-il-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'al al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa noora sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi.

Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no one who is afflicted by anxiety or grief, and who says: (mentioning the dua). .. except that Allah will take away his anxiety and grief, and replace them with relief.' So it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn these words?' He said: 'Yes, it is appropriate for everyone who hears them to learn them.' (Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 1, p. 391, Hadith 3729; also narrated by Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak, Vol. 1, p. 509, and he said its chain is Sahih.)
