Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is He begotten. Nor is there to Him any equivalent." Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak. From the evil of whatever He has created. And from the evil of darkness when it settles. And from the evil of the blowers in knots. And from the evil of an envier when he envies." Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. The King of mankind. The God of mankind. From the evil of the retreating whisperer. Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind. From among the jinn and mankind."

When to Read
It is highly recommended to recite these three Surahs – Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas – after completing the obligatory prayers (salat). This practice is a beautiful way to conclude your prayer, seeking Allah’s protection and blessings as you transition back to your daily life.
How to Read
After you finish your prayer with the Tasleem (saying 'Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah' to your right and left), you should recite these three Surahs. It is Sunnah to recite them three times each after the Fajr and Maghrib prayers, and once each after the Dhuhr, Asr, and Isha prayers. This was the practice of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seeking refuge in Allah for protection.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting these Surahs after prayer offers immense protection. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to seek refuge in Allah through these Surahs. They are a shield against all forms of evil, envy, magic, and whispers of Shaytan. By reciting them regularly, we invite Allah’s divine care and safeguard ourselves and our families.

Uqbah ibn Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded me to recite Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas) at the end of every prayer. [Sahih Muslim 814] 'Abdullah ibn Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: "Recite the last two Surahs of the Quran (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) every night when you go to bed and every morning when you wake up three times each. That will be sufficient for you in every way." [Sunan Abu Dawood 5082, Sahih] It is also widely understood from the Sunnah and the practice of the Companions that reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas along with Al-Mu'awwidhat is highly beneficial and protective.
