اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.
Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika
When to Read
This powerful dua is recommended to be recited after completing the obligatory prayers. It's a crucial moment after the intense focus of Salah, when our hearts are still attuned to Allah, making it an opportune time to solidify our connection and commitment.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely after you finish your prayer, ideally after saying the final taslim (As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah). You can say it once or three times, focusing on the meaning and internalizing the request for divine assistance. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this comprehensive plea, so understanding its depth is key.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication encapsulates a holistic approach to faith. By asking Allah for help in remembering Him, we acknowledge our human frailty and dependence on His grace to maintain constant awareness of His presence. Seeking help in thanksgiving means we will be guided to appreciate His countless blessings, both big and small. And asking for help in worshipping Him 'in the best manner' encompasses performing acts of worship with sincerity, devotion, and perfection, striving to emulate the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. It's a plea that covers the essence of a believer's life: remembrance, gratitude, and excellent worship, all sustained by Allah's aid.

The narrator Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took my hand and said, "O Mu'adh, by Allah, I love you, so I advise you, O Mu'adh, do not miss saying after every prayer: 'Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika.'" (Sunan Abi Dawud 1522, graded Hasan by some scholars).
