اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي (حَجَّيْ / عُمْرَتِيْ)
O Allah, accept from me (my Hajj / my Umrah).
Allahumma taqabbal minni (hajjay / 'umrati)
When to Read
This supplication is specifically for those who have completed their Hajj or Umrah. It is highly recommended to recite it after finishing the rituals, as a sincere plea to Allah for acceptance. While it can be made at any time, it's particularly poignant to utter it after the obligatory prayers that follow the completion of these blessed journeys, seeking Allah's grace to acknowledge the effort and devotion shown.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and humility, focusing your heart on Allah. Imagine yourself standing before Him, having completed a significant act of worship. Raise your hands in supplication (if appropriate for the specific prayer you've just finished and the situation allows) and utter these words with a hopeful heart, trusting in Allah's mercy. The key is the heartfelt intention and sincere asking.
Virtues & Benefits
The greatest benefit of this dua is seeking the acceptance of your Hajj or Umrah from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to ask for acceptance in our acts of worship. When Hajj or Umrah is accepted, it is a profound spiritual achievement, often described as a means of immense forgiveness and a return to a state of purity, as if one were just born. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs Hajj for Allah and does not have sexual relations with his wife, and does not do evil or sin, then he will return (from Hajj) free from all sins as if he were just born.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1521, Sahih Muslim 1350). Therefore, asking for acceptance is crucial to realizing these immense rewards.

Narrated Al-Aswad: I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about performing Umrah before Hajj. She said, 'The Prophet (ﷺ) and I performed Umrah along with him. He did not fast except for the last ten days. He performed Umrah in Shawwal, Dhu al-Qi'dah and Dhu al-Hijjah. He stayed at Mecca for the consultation of the Umrah, and after performing it, he said, 'O Allah, accept my Umrah and my incurring expenses.' Then he shaved his head and turned back. I said to him, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Why don't you talk to the people as if you are returning after the Hajj?' He said, 'I have not shaved my head but after performing the ritual pilgrimage, and I have not cut my hair but after offering the sacrifice.' So, he performed the Umrah along with the Hajj. He said: 'O Allah, accept my Umrah and my Hajj.' Then he shaved his head and turned back and said: 'O Allah, accept my Umrah and my Hajj.' I wished I had said the same thing. He said, 'You have performed Tawaf around the Ka'bah and between Safa and Marwah, so the Hajj is completed (by performing these).' I said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We are younger and stronger than you. Should we not complete the Tawaf until the night?' He said, 'Yes, you may.' Aisha added: 'Then he slaughtered a lamb for his Umrah, and later he slaughtered two for his Hajj.' The Prophet (ﷺ) shaved his head, and he ordered us to do the same and to offer the sacrifice and to put off the Ihram and stay at Mecca until the day of Tawaf al-Wida'.
