اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and righteous deeds that are accepted.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan
When to Read
This dua is particularly potent when recited immediately after completing the Fajr (dawn) prayer. It's an excellent way to begin your day, asking Allah to bless your endeavors with knowledge that benefits you and others, provision that is lawful and good, and actions that are sincere and pleasing to Him. Making this a habit after Fajr prayer sets a positive and God-conscious tone for the hours that follow.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a hopeful heart after finishing the obligatory Fajr prayer, preferably before engaging in any other activity. Keep your hands raised slightly, as is customary for supplication, and focus on the meaning of each word. Imagine Allah (SWT) hearing your plea and responding to it. The intention behind the dua is as important as the words themselves.
Virtues & Benefits
This supplication encompasses three crucial aspects for a fulfilling life: beneficial knowledge (which leads to correct worship and understanding), pure and lawful provision (rizq tayyib, which nourishes the body and soul in a permissible way), and accepted deeds (which are the ultimate aim of our existence, bringing us closer to Allah). When these three are granted, a person is set on a path of success both in this world and the Hereafter. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would often make this specific dua after the Fajr prayer, highlighting its significance.

Thumamah bin Shufayy reported: Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and when he would finish his prayer, he would turn his face towards us and say: 'O Allah, grant us beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.'
