All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed praise, praise that is never insufficient, never bid farewell, and from which we are never independent, our Lord.

Virtues & Benefits
This supplication expresses profound gratitude for sustenance. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to highlight the importance of thanking Allah not just for the food itself, but for the continuous stream of blessings that enable us to eat and sustain ourselves. By acknowledging that these blessings are 'never insufficient, never bid farewell, and never independent,' we affirm our constant need for Allah. Such gratitude is a means to ward off hardship and invite continued favor and well-being, as Allah is pleased with those who thank Him.
