Another narration adds: ‘Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) was raised to the position of Prophethood, he (i.e. the Prophet) would not eat from any dish unless the Name of Allah was mentioned over it. When he had finished eating, he would say: Praise is to Allah Who has satisfied us and quenched our thirst. He was praised with His perfect praise. He was satisfied with His perfect satisfaction. He was sufficed with His perfect sufficiency. He was not dispensed with, nor was He forsaken. He was not to be dispensed with, nor was He to be forsaken. He was not to be left, nor was He to be abandoned. Praise is to Allah, our Lord, forever.’ - Sunan Abi Dawud 3768 (Sahih)
