Source & Authentication
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'When Allah grants His slave any blessing, and the slave says: 'Alḥamdulillāhi ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīhi, ghayra makfiyyin wa lā mawadda‘in wa lā mustaghnan ‘anhu Rabbana' (All praise is due to Allah, [praiseworthy and] abundant, good, and blessed praise. Our Lord, [this sustenance] is not sufficient and cannot be dispensed with), then the two recording angels are perplexed as to how to write it down. So they ascend to Allah and say: 'O our Lord, Your slave has said something, and we are perplexed as to how to write it down.' Allah says: 'What has My slave said?' They say: 'He has said: 'Alḥamdulillāhi ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīhi, ghayra makfiyyin wa lā mawadda‘in wa lā mustaghnan ‘anhu Rabbana.' Allah says: 'Write it down as My slave has said it, and I shall meet him for it on the Day of Resurrection.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306)
