الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا.

Praise be to Allah, [praise] abundant, pure, and blessed, [praise] that is never insufficient, nor is it ever dispensed with, nor can we ever do without our Lord.

Al-hamdu lillahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feehi, ghayra makfiyyin wa la mawadda'in wa la mustaghna 'anhu Rabbuna.

Narrated Abu Umamah: When the table-cloth was set, the Prophet (ﷺ) would not get up until it was cleared, and when the dish was given to him, he would not put his finger in until he had licked it. He would say: "Al-hamdu lillahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feehi, ghayra makfiyyin wa la mawadda'in wa la mustaghna 'anhu Rabbuna." (Praise be to Allah, [praise] abundant, pure, and blessed, [praise] that is never insufficient, nor is it ever dispensed with, nor can we ever do without our Lord.) He also said: "The Lord is pleased with the servant who praises Him when he eats a meal and praises Him when he drinks a drink."
