After Eating
Sahih HadithSahih al-Bukhari 5447

All praise is due to Allah, [to] an abundant, good, blessed praise, which is not [in the least] insufficient, nor [can it be] dispensed with, nor [can one] be independent of Him, our Lord.

Alḥamdu lillāhi ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīhi, ghayra makfiyyin wa lā mawadda‘in wa lā mustaghnan ‘anhu Rabbana

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When anyone eats, he should say: 'Alḥamdu lillāhi alladhī kafānī wa-arwānī, Allāhumma innī as'aluka ḥalālan ṭayyiban abundantly' (All praise is due to Allah Who sufficed me and satiated me, O Allah, I ask You for lawful, good and abundant sustenance), and when anyone finishes his milk, he should say: 'Alḥamdu lillāhi alladhī sharabanā wa-ja‘ala lahū Badrangay min al-ma'i ḥarrani. (All praise is due to Allah Who made us drink and made for it brine and bitter). The narrator then narrated a similar ḥadīth on the authority of Ibn 'Umar, adding: 'The Prophet (peace be upon him) ate something, and then said: 'Alḥamdu lillāhi alladhī ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban Bārakun fīhi, ghayra makfiyyin wa lā mawadda‘in wa lā mustaghnan ‘anhu Rabbana' (All praise is due to Allah, [to] an abundant, good, blessed praise, which is not [in the least] insufficient, nor [can it be] dispensed with, nor [can one] be independent of Him, our Lord).'
