Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the best supplication. He said: 'The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafat, and the best of what I and the prophets before me said is: 'Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him.' And the best of what we say on that day is: 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner.' And the best of what we say after that is: 'Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.' And the best of what we say on that day is: 'O Allah, make me firm in my affairs and place me upon the guidance, and guide me to the good, and keep me away from the evil, and protect me from that which is disliked by You. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this wind, and the good of what is in it, and the good of what it has been sent with. And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this wind, and the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what it has been sent with.' And when he finished his supplication, he said: 'Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him, abundant, pure and blessed praise, not to be compensated for, nor dispensed with, nor is one self-sufficient from Him, O my Lord.'
