أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي بِحِفْظِكَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ، وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
I seek refuge for you (children) in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye. In the name of Allah, O Allah protect me with Your protection. O Allah, we place You before them (our enemies) and we seek refuge in You from their evil. O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You. O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and secure me from distress. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.
U'ee-dhukumaa bikalimaatillahit-taammati min kulli shaitaanin wa haammah, wa min kulli 'ainin laammah. Bismillah, Allahumma-hfadhni bi-hifdhik. Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhurihim wa na'udhu bika min shururihim. Allahumma 'aafini fi badani, Allahumma 'aafini fi sam'i, Allahumma 'aafini fi basari, la ilaha illa ant. When to Read
This dua is potent for safeguarding children, especially during times of vulnerability. Recite it at bedtime, when sending them to school or any place outside your direct supervision, and in the morning after Fajr prayer. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said: 'And who I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment: (It is He) Who created me and He guides me. And who causes me to eat and to drink. And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. And who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life again. And who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment.' (Quran 26:82-83) The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught: 'I seek refuge for you (children) with the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious evil eye.' Then he would say: 'Abraham, with his children, used to seek refuge with these words of Allah: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created."' (Sahih Muslim 2711). Regarding protection, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever says (Bismillah, Allahumma inni as'aluka 'afwaka wa 'aafiyataka fi deeni wa dunyaya wa ahli wa maali. Allahumma-stur 'awraati wa aamin raw'aati. Allahumma-hfadhni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yameeni wa 'an shimaali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi-'adhamatika an ughtala min tahti. - 'O Allah, I ask You for Your forgiveness and Your well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and secure me from distress. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.'), it was said, 'By Allah, no one asks by them on that day something, but that Allah gives it to him.' (Tirmidhi has related it and Saheeh Ibn Majah graded it Sahih). The Prophet ﷺ also taught the dua: 'O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5036).
