O Allah, unite our hearts, mend our affairs, guide us to the paths of peace, deliver us from darkness to light, and keep us away from indecencies, both apparent and hidden.

Narrated 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us to say when he would ascend the minbar (pulpit) for the Khutbatul-Hajah (the sermon of need), the introductory address for speeches: 'All praise is due to Allah, we seek His help, and we seek His forgiveness, and we seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our souls and the evil of our actions. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide him; and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, alone, without partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.'
