O Allah, protect our children, our offspring, our families, our wealth, our brothers, and our sisters from the accursed Satan, from every evil-doer, from every envier, from every wicked thing, from the evil of the Dajjal, and from the evil of this world and the Hereafter. Make us and them under Your protection, Your security, Your neighborhood, Your guardianship, Your care, Your defense, Your watchfulness, and Your preservation. And protect us and them from all the evils of Your creation and the wicked of all things. And grant us and them well-being in this world and the Hereafter.

When to Read
This dua is perfect for reciting in the morning and evening, as the Prophet ๏ทบ taught us to seek Allah's protection at the beginning and end of the day. It's also incredibly relevant whenever you feel concerned about your children's safety, especially with the growing presence of the internet in their lives. Make it a habit during Fajr and Maghrib prayers, or any quiet moment of reflection.
How to Read
Recite with sincerity and deep conviction in Allah's power to protect. Focus on each word, visualizing Allah's shield surrounding your children. It's best recited when you are in a state of purity (wudu), facing the Qiblah, and with a humble heart. You can place your hand on your chest or a picture of your child while supplicating, or simply raise your hands in supplication as is the Sunnah.
Virtues & Benefits
Seeking Allah's protection is a fundamental aspect of Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). By reciting this comprehensive dua, you are invoking the Almighty's safeguarding presence over your children, shielding them from seen and unseen harms, including the insidious dangers online like exploitation, harmful content, and negative influences. Allah (SWT) says: 'And whoever relies upon Allah - He is sufficient for him.' (Quran 65:3). This supplication acknowledges Allah as the ultimate protector, strengthening your connection with Him and fostering peace of mind.
Source & Authentication
While this specific comprehensive dua isn't found verbatim in one hadith, its elements are drawn from authentic teachings. For example: 'Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ๏ทบ said: 'Whoever says 'Bismillah alladhi la yadhurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fil-ardi wala fis-sama'i, wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Aleem' (In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can cause harm in the earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) three times in the morning, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until the evening. And whoever says it three times in the evening, he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until the morning.' - Sunan Abu Dawud 5088 (Sahih) Also, the general principle of seeking refuge in Allah's words: 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq' (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created) is taught for protection from all evils. - Sahih Muslim 2708.
