Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'The believer leaves behind him something that will be a source of his reward. It was asked: What is that? He said: A good deed that is followed, or a charity that is set up, or a good son whom he leaves behind praying for him. And he said: Indeed, the provisions of the believer are gathered for him from wherever he wishes, and he is entrusted to Allah. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When anyone intends to travel, he should say: 'Astawdi'ullaha ahli wa mali (I entrust to Allah my family and my wealth). He said: And Allah the Almighty says: 'I have entrusted them to My protection.' When he enters his family and his property, he should say: 'Aybuna 'ala al-tawabin al-'abidin.' (We return repentant, worshipping, praising our Lord).
