I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of devils, and from their presence.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever says this supplication in the morning three times, it will suffice him against anything that might harm him that day. And whoever says it in the evening three times, it will suffice him against anything that might harm him that night.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3892, Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3492 - classed as Hasan by Al-Albani). Although the hadith mentions morning and evening, the comprehensive nature of the seeking of refuge makes it exceptionally suitable for the perils of travel.
