Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not recite supplications for any specific event except for three things: meeting the enemy, three days and nights of rain, and seeing lightning. Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to say when he heard the thunder: 'Subhanalladhi yusabbihur ra'du bihamdihi wal mala'ikatu min khifatih' (Glory be to Allah, the One whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels do so out of awe of Him.)
