It was narrated that Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to travel, he would say: 'Allahumma Antas-Sahibu fis-Safar wal-Khalifatu fil-Ahli. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha-is-safar, wa ka'abatil-munqalab, wa su-il-munzar fil-ahli wal-mal.' (O Allah, You are the Companion during the journey and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the difficulties of travel, the sorrows of return, and an evil outcome with regard to family and wealth.)" — Sahih Muslim 1342b
