اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need to ask anyone but You.

Focus on the meaning of the words, seeking Allah's help to manage your time, work, and life in a way that is pleasing to Him and free from unlawful means.
Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his uncle Al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), is powerful for managing life's affairs, including time. By seeking Allah's sufficiency in lawful provisions and asking for independence from needing others, we indirectly ask for His help in organizing our lives to earn that which is lawful and avoid that which is not. This includes using our time productively and ethically, rather than wasting it on unproductive or unlawful activities. The hadith mentions that if one were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud in Allah's cause, it would not be accepted from them unless they believed in Allah (SWT) and this dua, highlighting its immense significance. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him): 'O Abbas, O my uncle, shall I not give you, shall I not grant you, shall I not do a kindness for you? Shall I not tell you ten things, if you do them, Allah will forgive what your intention was, what your ears heard, what your eyes saw, what your right hand did, what your left hand did, what your legs walked on, what your heart intended, your private part admitted.' Then he mentioned the narrator, 'This is my wealth, I give it as Zakat. It is not the most excellent of the Sadaqat.' Then he said: 'O Abbas, O my uncle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to do ten deeds, and to grant you ten things, and to give you ten inclinations, and to give you ten permissions. He said: "You should pray standing, praying in the first row, and you should pray them in congregation, and you should fast, and you should give Sadaqah, and you should perform Hajj and 'Umrah, and you should struggle in the cause of Allah, and you should appoint a protector for your father, and you should pay taxes (Khumus), and you should not drink Khamr." Then he said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, these ten things are for the striving ones. Then he said: 'O Abbas, O my uncle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "O Abbas, O my uncle, I have taught you a supplication which you can supplicate with it every day, or every Jumu'ah, or every year, or in every gathering, or whenever you wish." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, you have asked from your Lord the two bravest things, the most honorable things, the most rewarding things, and the most generous things: you have asked Him for the eyes to be content, and for the hearts to be thankful." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, supplicate: O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me health, and grant me sustenance." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, these are the best worldly and otherworldly supplications." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, you have asked from your Lord the two bravest things, the most honorable things, the most rewarding things, and the most generous things: you have asked Him for the eyes to be content, and for the hearts to be thankful." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, supplicate: O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful, instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace, so that I may not need to ask anyone but You." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, if you have the like of Uhud of sins, Allah will forgive you for it." He said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, it is not the most excellent of the Sadaqat." Then he said: "O Abbas, O my uncle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'O Abbas, O my uncle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "O Abbas, O my uncle, I have taught you a supplication which you can supplicate with it every day, or every Jumu'ah, or every year, or in every gathering, or whenever you wish."
