اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
O Allah, help me to remember You, to give You thanks, and to worship You in the best manner.
Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika
When to Read
This is a foundational dua for any Muslim seeking to be consistent in their worship. You can recite it after every obligatory prayer, or at any time you feel a need for spiritual strength to fulfill your duties to Allah. It's particularly beneficial when starting your day, before embarking on tasks that require focus and sincerity, or when feeling a lapse in your religious practice.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and a humble heart. Raise your hands as you would in supplication, acknowledging your reliance on Allah. Focus on the meaning of the words, asking for Allah's assistance in remembering Him constantly, being grateful for His countless blessings, and perfecting your worship.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua directly asks for Allah's help in three core aspects of a Muslim's life: remembrance (dhikr), gratitude (shukr), and excellent worship (husn 'ibadah). By seeking Allah's aid in these, we are essentially asking for the strength and guidance to fulfill all our religious obligations. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to his companions, indicating its profound importance. Consistent remembrance keeps us mindful of Allah in all our actions. Gratitude fosters contentment and increases blessings. Perfecting worship ensures our acts are done with sincerity and according to the Sunnah, leading to greater acceptance.
