You can also make it before starting any important task at work, during your commute, or whenever you feel the need to connect with Allah for guidance and success in your professional life.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincere intention and conviction in your heart. Raise your hands in supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Begin by praising Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Then, recite the dua clearly and with a hopeful spirit. After reciting, gently wipe your hands over your face as a sign of earnest seeking. Remember that dua is a conversation with Allah; speak to Him as you would to a loving and powerful King who has dominion over all matters.

Virtues & Benefits

This powerful dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, encapsulates three essential pillars for worldly and akhirah success: beneficial knowledge ('ilman nafi'an) which helps us make right decisions and avoid mistakes, good provision (rizqan tayyiban) which is pure and pleasing to Allah, and accepted deeds ('amalan mutaqabbalan) which are done for His sake and are effective in bringing us closer to Him. By seeking these, we are essentially asking Allah to grant us the tools, the sustenance, and the acceptance needed to excel in our careers and in all aspects of our lives. This holistic approach ensures that our pursuit of career advancement is aligned with pleasing Allah and achieving true, lasting success.
