O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and to abstain from evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and to have mercy on me. And if You decree a trial for Your creation, then take me to Yourself without my falling into it. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which will bring me closer to Your love.

Another narration reads: 'O Allah, I ask You for the deed of the righteous, the victory of the guides, the repentance of the penitent, the thanks of the patient, the remembrance of the thankful, and the knowledge of the humble. O Allah, I ask You for a good heart, truthful speech, and a noble deed. I seek refuge in You from evil knowledge, evil heart, evil desires, and evil diseases.' In another narration: 'O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds and to abstain from evil deeds, and to love the poor. I ask You to forgive me and to have mercy on me.
