Source & Authentication
Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mounted his camel for the journey, he would glorify Allah by saying 'Subhan' three times, then he would say: 'Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinun. Wa inna ila Rabbina la munqalibun.' (Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will surely return.) Then he would say: 'O Allah, we ask You for goodness and piety in our journey, and good deeds. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and let us fold the distances. O Allah, You are the Companion in the journey and the Successor in the family.'
