Success
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 7:38

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً.

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is beneficial, for pure provision, and for deeds that are accepted.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

When to Read

This beautiful dua is recited by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after the morning prayer (Fajr). It is incredibly relevant for seeking divine assistance and ensuring that whatever unfolds – including the outcome of a legal matter – is guided by what is ultimately good and beneficial. Recite it with sincerity before attending court, and also regularly after Fajr, trusting that Allah will bless your efforts and guide the proceedings towards justice.

How to Read

Raise your hands in supplication (as is the etiquette for dua) after reciting the morning prayer. Face the Qiblah if possible. Recite this dua with a sincere heart, focusing on the meaning and asking Allah with certainty. You can repeat it three times, as was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ. Remember to also ask Allah to grant you patience and wisdom throughout the legal process.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua covers three essential aspects of a Muslim's life: knowledge, provision, and acceptance of deeds. By asking for beneficial knowledge, you seek understanding and clarity, which is crucial when facing legal complexities. Seeking pure provision acknowledges our reliance on Allah for all sustenance, including the means to navigate such situations. Asking for accepted deeds is the ultimate aspiration, as it signifies Allah's pleasure with our efforts. When seeking a just verdict, this prayer asks Allah to grant the relevant parties beneficial insight, to ensure the process is conducted with integrity, and to accept the efforts made towards achieving fairness.
