โœฆ

O Allah, make my husband/wife among those who, when You bestow blessings upon them, they are grateful; when You test them, they are patient; when You cause them to die, they acknowledge; when they speak, they speak the truth; they strive in Your obedience; they preserve Your favors; and they become independent through Your remembrance. Inspire them to be thankful for Your bounties, clothe them with the garment of Your well-being, suffice them from the evil of what You decree, and assist them in fulfilling Your rights.

Allahumma ij'al zawji/zawjati minal-ladheena idha an'amta 'alayhim shakaru, wa idha ibtalaytahum sabaru, wa idha ammattahum i'tarafu, wa idha qaloo sadaqoo, wa fi atwa'ika sa'aw, wa 'inda ni'amika ihtafadhoo, wa bidh-dhikri-ka istaghnaw, wa alhimhum shukra ni'amika, wa albis'hum libasa 'afiyatika, wakfihim sharra ma qadayt, wa a'in'hum 'ala ada'i huqooqika.

Repeating it multiple times can also enhance its impact.

Virtues & Benefits

By making this dua, you are actively seeking Allah's assistance for your spouse to find solace, strength, and spiritual growth during trials. This strengthens their faith, purifies their soul, and deepens their reliance on the Creator. It also reflects your love and concern for your spouse's spiritual well-being, which is a beautiful expression of marital harmony in Islam.
