Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a brother who has been afflicted by a stomach ailment.' He said: 'Go to him and offer him drink of milk.' So he went to him and then came back and said: 'I have given him drink.' He said: 'He has not vomited it, but it has made him vomit.' He said: 'He has not told me a lie, but he has vomited what he had drunk.' He said: 'It is a lie. Allah has not created any disease nor has He created the cure for it, but both are between two **black** things, namely the hair and the dung.' Then he said: 'O Abdullah b. Ghunm, should I not teach you a dua which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught you, and by which you may seek refuge in Allah from the evil of what He created? You should say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in Your perfect words from every devil and every beast, and from every evil eye.' And it was narrated on the authority of 'Uthman b. Abu al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a pain he felt in his body. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'Place your hand where you feel pain in your body and say: 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah) three times and say seven times: 'A'udhu bi'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru' (I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of what I feel and I am cautious of). (Sahih Muslim 2708)
