Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I was stung by a scorpion last night.' He said: 'If you had said when you entered the evening: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq), it would not have harmed you.' Abu Salama said: 'Our companions narrated to us that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to teach them when they entered the evening and when they entered the morning these words: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ.'
