Sleep Duas
Hasan HadithMusnad Ahmad 1700

O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to one of Your creatures, or sent down in Your Book, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my grief, the banisher of my worries, and the aid in guidance and a guide to good.

Allahumma inni 'abdak, ibn 'abdik, ibn amatik, nasiyatii biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uk, as'aluka bikulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw anzaltahu fi kitadik, aw ista'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indak, an taj'ala al-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jila'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi, wal-'awna 'alal-huda, wad-dalila ila al-khayr.

Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught this supplication as a comprehensive prayer. When asked what was the best supplication, he (peace be upon him) mentioned this one, saying it was a supplication that 'Allah called for Himself when He was calling out to Himself.' This indicates its immense importance and comprehensive nature. It's a prayer that encompasses seeking Allah's mercy, guidance, and making His divine word a central part of one's life.
