اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ.
O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need to ask anyone besides You.
Allahumma akfini bihalalika 'an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak.
When to Read
This dua is particularly beneficial to recite just before sleeping. As the day's worries and tasks subside, and we prepare to rest, turning to Allah for our deepest needs, including financial stability and freedom from debt, is a profound act of reliance. Reciting it before sleep can help calm the mind, alleviating anxiety about financial burdens and placing trust in Allah's plan for the next day.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely with a heartfelt plea to Allah. It's recommended to face the Qiblah, if possible, and to raise your hands slightly as if making a supplication. Focus on the meaning of the words, understanding that you are asking the One who controls all provisions. Having a clear intention to work towards lawful earnings and to avoid unlawful means will enhance the dua's effectiveness.
Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua directly addresses two crucial aspects of financial well-being: ensuring one's income is lawful ('halal') and seeking sufficiency through Allah's grace ('fadl') to avoid dependence on others. By asking Allah to suffice us with the lawful, we seek protection from engaging in or benefiting from anything that incurs His displeasure. The second part, asking to be enriched by His grace, means we are seeking contentment and enough provision so that we don't have to humble ourselves before creation. This can lead to peace of mind, reduced stress from debt, and a stronger sense of trust in Allah's (SWT) providence, even when facing financial hardship.

Narrated by Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and complained about accumulating debt. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Shall I not teach you words that, if you say them, Allah would remove your debt, even if it were as much as Mount Ser? Say: 'Allahumma akfini bihalalika 'an haramik, wa aghnini bifadlika 'amman siwak.' (O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need to ask anyone besides You.)
